Another Shot Against Darwin's Evolution

On 6/25/06 we submitted a comment against evolution called "The Eye, did it Evolve, or was it Created?" In reading the book "God's Prescription for Healing" by James P. Gills, M.D., we found more on the creation of the human eye, and how it could not have possibly evolved. The following is a quote from that book.

" The evidence of design, evidence that forces of random chance could never match, is irrefutable. However, the popular ideas of our era still dictate to us the false "religion" of Darwinism and its materialistic assumptions. These assumptions refer to humanity's unintended emergence from meaningless accidents. This would refer that accountability and responsibility would be to ourselves alone. At every turn, however, we can now contradict Darwinism and its stubborn denial of the design that is intrinsic in the coil of nature, which includes us. I have discussed this in more detail in my recent book "Darwinism Under the Microscope."

The design that we are speaking of, the "intelligent" design, is identified primarily by its irreducible complexity. This is a difficult yet important term. An irreducible complex system has been defined as one "composed of several well-matched interacting parts that contribute to basic function, wherein removal of any one of the parts causes the system to effectively cease functioning." Think of it this way: If you build an automobile engine without cylinders, the carburetor is instantly useless. So why build a carburetor-or conceive of it-if its without meaning and function? This means that both cylinders and carburetor would have to be built together, with the intention that they work together. Attributing the independent development of both parts to luck, under the condition that one part cannot function without the other, must be beyond anyone's reasonable belief. This is exactly what Darwinism asks us to believe, though.

Theories of evolution hold that a system, such as the human eye, evolved by small, progressive alterations over time. It is clear to anyone not blinded by the pride of human supremacy that the eye presents an immaculate example of irreducible complexity. The irreducible complexity of the human eye is apparent because its separate parts would be inherently non-functioning as isolated components or as integrated component parts at a lower level of complexity. In other words, according to current, popular theory, all the individual components of the eye would have had to evolve at the same time. This would also have had to evolve at the same level of complexity to be properly integrated and function as a complete eye. This could not be possible left to mere chance. Therefore, the human eye presents to us evidence of creation according to highly intelligent design, rather than alleged evolution.

Truly, such complexity of design with a purpose, the template of our physical existence, can be illustrated in the myriad details of the body. It originates in DNA and can be observed at both microscopic and macroscopic (larger) levels. "

Dr. Gills goes on to explain the "single cell", the basic building block of the body, and how this is the single most powerful challenge to the primacy of Darwin interpretations, and is the initial point of explanation for the body's natural ability to preserve and cure itself. "The complexity of a single cell cannot be overstated-it is mostly beyond our imagination." And is another story in itself, that puts Darwinism right in the trash can.
