The following is from Dr. Joe Vankoevering's book "The Church Under End-Time Attack."
"The enemy took our planes, filled with our people, filled with our fuel, and used them to attack us. They hid within our own cities. They even received flight training within our own aviation schools. They sat right there in our "own house" and let us teach them how to kill us.
Likewise, the enemy of your soul will always try to steal your power and steal your authority; and use it against you. This is how he works. The Devil hasn't got some secret spiritual weapon in hell that he's going to spring out on you. No, he's going to use your very own authority against you. He's going to use your own words against you. He's going to use your own seeds against you. He's going to take your authority away from you through ignorance and through deception. This is the greatest weapon he's got.
The Devil has no tools other than deception. He can tempt and he can accuse, but the greatest thing he has is deception. In fact, the word for "devil" in the New Testament literally means "deceiver"...Yes, he's an accuser...And yes, he's a tempter. But his greatest tool is deception. What does this mean? That means he's got to get you to believe a lie. He's got to get you thinking a lie, talking a lie, and living something that isn't true in order to take life from you, rob from you, and to try to kill you.
"Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will." (2 Timothy 2:25-26).
There are multitudes of Christians who, through deception, have literally handed over their authority and their inherent power, and given it over to the hands of their enemy, the enemy of their soul. They are now OPPOSING THEMSELVES, because they don't see the light; because they haven't repented; because they're not walking in the ways of God.
I'm not talking about those folks that aren't going to heaven. This instruction was given to true believers, but the devil's real weapon is deception. You've already been given by God all the authority you need over the forces and the works of the devil. He's already under your feet. As far as God's concerned, it's already done. In Christ, we are already seated in heavenly places and the devil is under our feet.
But if you don't KNOW that, then He'll be able to take your very authority and use it against you to attack you. It's not what you know that's killing you; it's what you don't know that's killing you.
"My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. 'Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, . . . '" (Hosea 4:6). "
Many are still being deceived. So it's not what you know that's killing you; it's what you don’t know. Don't give yourself over or your stuff over to the enemy anymore. Don't let him have your authority and use it against you. Stop letting him take your words and use them against you. Stop opposing yourself. Stop allowing what belongs to you to be used against you.
