The Biased Media

This past January Benny Hinn performed one of his Healing Crusades in Bangalore, India. Have you heard about it? It was an event that probably broke every record in the book. For 3 nights Pastor Benny conducted healing services, and preached to 7,300,000 people. The largest crowd recorded in church history for miracle services, or probably any service or meeting for that matter. Here's a quote from the reports of those 3 nights:

"The international media heralded 'a sea of humanity' at the Benny Hinn event, headlining 'all roads lead to Bangalore'. Despite the opposition, people began streaming into the airport grounds. The streets were jammed as traffic made its way to the complex. People came as far away as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and West Asia. Indian military and 10,000 Bangalore police worked along side festival volunteers to provide security. Two million people attended the first night of the crusade, many traveling hundreds and thousands of miles. The second night, 2.3 million people attended. By the third night, the crowd had swelled to 3 million people, making three incredible Bangalore services the largest miracle services in church history."

Many India government leaders and dignitaries attended. Many were invited on stage asked for and received prayer for themselves and loved ones.

Here's a quote on the preparation for the services:

"Groundwork for the largest healing services in recorded history was no small task. After the highly successful February 2004 Festival of Blessings in Mumbai (with 4.8 million people in three massive services), plans began immediately for an even larger 2005 event to be held January 21-23 at Bangalore's Jakkur Airport Grounds. The 215 acre complex was in preparation for months by the event committee, BHM staff, and more than 25,000 volunteers. Acres were cleared, leveled, and turned into an immaculately manicured field. Technical facilities were constructed, along with a stage area with risers to hold a 2,500 voice choir. Over 300,000 chairs were delivered. Technicians erected 70 jumbo video screens, thousands of lights, and audio speakers throughout the grounds. Seventy huge portable electric generating systems were brought in for the event. Special train and bus service came long distances from many directions".

All this and probably the most electric cable ever strung out in history. Yet, did you hear about it? Did you see this on CNN or Fox news, or read about it in your local paper?

But I bet you heard of any and all scandals that might have involved a Christian church on TV news and the newspapers.

Remember, India is not a Christian country, there was much opposition in the streets from protestors. Three hundred buses were damaged by rock throwers, and vehicles set on fire carrying people to the services. People protesting the Benny Hinn services burned effigies of Hinn, along with Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister Dharam Singe.

But did you hear about it? Except from watching "This is Your Day" on Christian TV?

Did you here about the so many healings? Tumors disappearing, deaf ears hearing, the lame walking, pain gone? How about the man who was deaf and mute since birth, speaking his first words. Or the young blind girl who was able to see clearly, and then asks Pastor Benny "I am not a Christian...is it OK that Jesus healed me? Or the lame man who was unable to walk for 20 years - is now running and doing somersaults. And only God knows how many He healed at these 3 services.

All the Glory of these healings in India, or any healing service, goes to Jesus. And that’s why you don’t hear about it. The healings, the safety of over 7 million people, the safety of Pastor Benny and his staff, and all the miraculous happenings at this historic event - was done by Jesus. No human could handle an event like that, not without Jesus.

Our great liberal media does not want to hear about Jesus, they are afraid of Him. Afraid that He will interfere with their liberal lifestyles. And they don’t want you to hear about Jesus either, or His miracles.

Isn’t it strange how TV and newspapers will send dozens of reporters to a news conference, to hear one overpaid sports figure, evade or deny his taking of steroids, but will not send one reporter to cover the largest church service in history?
